Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Fact Sheet

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place at Magic Kingdom® Park making it a breeze with the variety of transportation options at your disposal. Remember to allocate appropriate time for your choice of transportation to ensure you arrive at the start of the party since there is limited time to enjoy the festivities. Whether you’re staying at a Disney Resort, off-site accommodation, or arriving from another Disney Park, there’s a convenient mode of transportation for everyone.

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, the complimentary Disney transportation system is your ticket to hassle-free travel. Hop aboard the iconic Disney buses, which run regularly and take you directly to Magic Kingdom® Park. Enjoy the comfort and convenience as you sit back and relax, leaving the driving to the friendly Disney cast members.

Another exciting option is the Monorail. This fast and fun public transportation system functions like an above-ground subway. Offsite guests can access the iconic monorail by parking at the Ticket and Transportation Center and hitching a ride. Guests of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort have access to the monorail at their resort.

For a unique and charming experience, consider taking a boat ride to Magic Kingdom® Park. Hop onboard a Ferry at the Ticket and Transportation Center for a beautiful scenic ride. Ferry boats also connect Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & CampgroundDisney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Magic Kingdom® Park.

It’s important to know that parking is unavailable at Magic Kingdom® Park. If you’re staying off-site, you must park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and either take the Monorail or a Ferry to get to the park. Another important thing to keep in mind is that there will be a dedicated line for party attendees to enter the park starting at 4 pm and collect their party wristbands. If you happen to be inside the park before 4 pm, please proceed to the designated area to obtain your party wristband. Please note that the actual party events don’t start until 7 pm.

No matter which mode of transportation you choose, rest assured that Disney has carefully designed these options to provide convenience, efficiency, and a touch of Disney magic. Sit back, relax, and get ready to immerse yourself in the holiday celebration of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

At Magic Kingdom® Park and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party the primary language spoken is English. As an international destination, the park caters to guests from all around the world, and you may meet multilingual cast members who can help you in various languages. While English is the main language used for announcements, shows, and attractions, Disney’s commitment to inclusivity ensures that visitors of different languages can still enjoy their experience. You may find translations, subtitles, sign language, or language-specific guides available for certain attractions or shows, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the magic of Disney, regardless of their native language.

CLIMATE: Central Florida, where Walt Disney World® Resort is located, has a subtropical climate with hot and humid summers and mild winters. Summers are characterized by high temperatures in the 80s and 90s Fahrenheit (27-35° Celsius), accompanied by afternoon thunderstorms. Winters are usually mild with temperatures ranging from the 50s to 70s Fahrenheit (10-25° Celsius). However, I always encourage clients to bring layers for those days when it seems to be unusually chilly. Spring and fall offer pleasant temperatures in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit (20-30° Celsius). Rain showers are possible throughout the year, so it’s wise to bring a poncho or umbrella along with a change of socks should you be wearing them. Overall, Central Florida’s climate is warm and enjoyable for outdoor activities.

MONEY/CURRENCY (CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARDS, TIPPING, ATMS): The currency used during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, like most establishments in the United States, is the US dollar (USD). Cash and major credit cards are widely accepted throughout the park for purchases, dining, and other services. Disney gift cards are also a fantastic way to budget and pre-plan for your vacation. ATMs are also available if you need to withdraw cash.

For guests looking to further simplify park spending, using a MagicBand connected to a major credit card is an excellent alternative. Just be sure to review your spending at the end of the day if you’re concerned about exceeding limits.

Tipping at Magic Kingdom® Park, the location of the party, is a customary practice designed to show appreciation for good service. Be mindful that at times, a gratuity is automatically added to your bill. The customary tipping amount is 15-25% of the total bill. For counter-service restaurants or quick-service meals, tipping is not needed but is always appreciated if you receive exceptional service.

Beyond dining, you may also consider tipping other service providers such as bellhops or luggage handlers if you are staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort hotel. Additionally, if you use any of the private transportation services offered by Disney, such as the Minnie Van service or private transfers, a tip for the driver is customary.

It’s worth noting that the exceptional customer service that is experienced at the theme parks is also prevalent during the party. Along with tipping, the cast compliment feature in the My Disney Experience App is a great way to recognize and thank the Cast Members who enhance your experience. However, tipping is always discretionary, and you should feel comfortable adjusting the amount based on the quality of service received.

ELECTRICITY: At Walt Disney World® Resort, including Magic Kingdom® Park, the standard electrical voltage is 120 volts AC, with a frequency of 60 Hz. The power outlets use the Type A and Type B sockets, which have two flat parallel pins or two flat pins with a grounding pin, respectively.

For travelers visiting from countries with different electrical systems, it’s important to bring a universal adapter to ensure compatibility with the outlets. These adapters are widely available and can be bought before your trip or even at some stores within the resort.

As for charging devices at Magic Kingdom® Park, there are several options available. Throughout the park, you’ll find many electrical outlets in various locations, such as near seating areas, dining establishments, and guest service locations. These outlets allow you to plug in and charge your devices using your own charging cables. I suggest the stumps by the Tangled Bathrooms, Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe, and Pinocchio Village Haus as great places for this.

Additionally, Disney has also recognized the increasing demand for device charging and has made Fuel Rods available for guests. Fuel Rods are a convenient and portable charging solution available at Walt Disney World® Resorts and theme parks including Magic Kingdom® Park. These small, reusable power banks can be bought and exchanged throughout the park for no added charge. This allows you to recharge your electronic devices on the go. You can recharge your devices while on the go without relying solely on available outlets.

The Fuel Rod kiosks are strategically found in various areas of the park, making it easy to swap your depleted Fuel Rod for a fully charged one. With Disney Fuel Rods, you can stay connected and ensure your devices have power throughout your visit.

Remember to plan your device charging needs accordingly, especially if you’re capturing magical moments with your camera or using mobile apps for park navigation and entertainment. You don’t want to spend your limited party time charging your devices. Keeping your devices charged ensures you can fully enjoy all the experiences that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has to offer.
